Artist Research Paper & Oral Presentation Research a commercial or fine art photographer of your choice who will be the subject of a typed, 1,250 word, double-spaced paper (list word count on paper). Describe the artist's background, techniques, conceptual ideas relating to their work. If you are researching a commercial photographer, list their clients. Discuss why you were initially drawn to your subject's work. Why do you feel his/her work is important? How does your subject's work relate to your own? Use the photographers listed on the Resources page as a start. The artist can work solely with photographic media or can incorporate aspects of photography into their work. You will also critique in your paper a specific body of work by the artist. Bibliography and web site urls are required for this paper. You must use at least one source not available from the Internet (i.e. book or article). You will give an oral presentation of your paper to the class, which will include examples of the photographer's work shown via the web or from a Powerpoint presentation. The oral presentation should be approximately 5 to 7 minutes in length. Due Dates:
