The class will break into two groups to produce this assignment. Each group will need decide on a project theme, select a location on campus, plan props and costumes.
The final image should include groupings of people/objects/props that make the final image compositionally interesting. Each member of the group should appear at least twice in the final compostion. Work with people/objects/props in foreground, midground and background to give the final composition depth and interest. Remember that objects will look further away than nomral with the wide angle lens so placement of foreground subjects close to the camera is crucial. All action must be 'frozen'
in the photograph due to image overlap. Positions will need to be held for up to five minutes or longer as it takes at least three frames before the subject is out of the frame. It is helpful to plan out the final composition on paper.
We will use the school's panoramic tripod and the digital SLR using a wide angle lens to capture the images. Each group will shoot their project and stitch the final composition on a separate day. See schedule for more information. Note: someone in each group will need to retouch and clean up image in Photoshop. This assignment is graded on participation (no letter grade).
